This 1984 Chevy K10 Silverado Short-Box is a beautiful frame-off
restored truck that was completed around 10 years ago and has only
9300 miles on it since being restored. This was purchased from a
local customer who used all of the best local shops to do the work.
This is a quality restoration and a quality truck that anyone would
be proud to own. Unfortunately the owner passed away and that is
why we purchased the truck. The body is super clean and straight.
It was totally stripped down to bare metal and professionally
repainted Light Poly Blue and Silver Poly. The paint looks awesome!
All of the chrome and trim was replaced and looks excellent. It
also received new seals, weatherstripping, and body mounts. The
underside is also very clean and was painted with a texture style
paint when it was restored. There are no rust issues with this
truck and we found no bondo or patches in the metal.
The interior was also completely restored and came out of a 1990
Suburban (Bucket seats with center console). The interior looks
beautiful. The original dash looks great and it has the deluxe door
panels also in great condition. It received a new dash bezel and
new carpet when it was restored. The headlights, taillights.
brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work.
It has tilt wheel. The windshield wipers, horn, and heat all
work.
Mechanically this truck is top notch and it runs and drives
excellent! All the mechanicals were either rebuilt or replaced when
restored. The engine is a 6.6L 400 Small Block Chevy V8 that was
completely rebuilt and bored .30 over and is now a 406 V8. It was
built by a respected engine builder in the area (G & G Machine
Shop). It has a mild cam, ported heads, roller rockers, 10:1
compression, and was balanced and blue-printed. It has an Edelbrock
Performer RPM intake, Holley 4 Barrel Carb, HEI ignition, headers
with dual exhaust. When restored it received a new starter, new
alternator, new belts and hoses, new radiator, new fuel pump, etc.
The transmission is a Turbo 350 Automatic that was rebuilt by an
old school local guy as well. It has a mild shift kit and shifts
great. It is mated to the np208 transfer case that was resealed and
the 4WD works like it should. They added new custom driveshafts
when it was installed. It has a 12 Bolt rear axle with 3.73 gears
and a factory limited slip. The front axle is a 10 Bolt with 3.73
gears. It received a 2 1/2 inch lift kit with new front springs and
new shocks. This is all sitting on a cool set of aftermarket
aluminum rims with Mickey Thompson MTZ tires size 185/75/16.
