1967 Ford Mustang Fastback
HISTORY
Wimbleton white (85% original paint) with red interior, non-fold down back seat. California
car, built in San Jose (Produced on Jan 7,1967 and sold at Tuban Ford in Mountain View on
April 24th 1967 to the original owner. My uncle was the 2nd owner and he purchased the car
on May 3, 1972. His son, my cousin, took ownership of the car in 2001. I purchased the car
from him in December of 2019. Below is a listing of all the work I’ve performed on the car
and I have receipts available for all new/rebuilt components that Ive replaced.
EXTERIOR
- 1968 GT grill (with driving lights) and 1967 GT rear valance
- New front and rear bumpers, taillights, rear backup lights, front turn signal lights, front
and rear wheel opening moldings, under door moldings, trunk and hood moldings,
passenger side rear view mirror and red wheel center caps.
- New front windshield and rubber.
- All new Steele rubber and window felt installed.
INTERIOR
New dash pad, carpet, door panels, front seat foam and covers, rear seat covers, arm
rests, Automatic select floor shift assembly, tachometer, firewall insulation pad, Lokar gas
pedal assy, and Vintage Air kit factory style controls and vents. Custom Autosound AM/FM
Bluetooth radio with front dual dash speaker and rear upgraded 6 x 9 speakers.
SUSPENSION/DRIVETRAIN
-Front suspension – New upper and lower control arms & ball joints, inner tie rod ends,
progressive rate springs, idler arm, poly spring perches, sway bar insulators, Shelby drop
modification and Koni shocks.
- Rear suspension - New leaf springs and Koni shocks.
-Transmission – Rebuilt Ford AOD overdrive transmission with Shift kit, red line clutches
and new torque converter. Lokar AOD premium quality conversion kit for Holley carbs
including carburetor transmission cable kickdown linkage. TCI transmission cooler. Rebuilt
driveline with Spicer U-joints
- Differential - Rebuilt differential with 8” Ford 3:55 Detroit truetrac.STEERING/BRAKES
- Mark Maier Power Steering mod kit that includes an ABS 14:1 power steering box with new
pitman arm, steering shaft, KRC power steering pump with aluminum tank, aluminum
mounting/tensioning bracket and power steering pulley.
- LEED Front Power Disc brake conversion kit, complete with rotors, calipers, booster.
Brake pedal assy, proportioning valve and all new brake lines, front to rear.
ENGINE/FUEL
Original 289 that runs well, no oil leaks
- New Holley carb with an Edelbrock aluminum RPM Air Gap manifold, water pump, timing
chain set, harmonic balancer, oil pump pickup, hoses and belts, spark plug wires and
Moroso 7qt oil pan.
- ACP Maxcore 2 Row Aluminum Performance radiator with MaxCore 1.25” tubes, fan
shroud, clutch fan and fan blade.
- Vintage AIR Comp kit for 67-68 Mustang, Gen IV
- Dougs Tri Y powder coated headers with all new 2.5 dia. dual exhaust with H pipe, Magna
Flow mufflers and 67 Mustang dual GT tips.
- New fuel tank sending unit, fuel line (tank to pump), fuel filler hose and tank sound
deadener underlayment.
