For Sale: 1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 in Frisco, Texas

Vehicle Description

This is one of the finest examples in existence. A complete nut-and-bolt, numbers-matching restoration performed to an exceptional standard by Joe’s 2nd Gen Camaros, renowned for building cars that look and perform as well as—or better than—the day they left the factory.

EXTERIOR

The fit and finish are simply outstanding. Every panel is laser-straight with precise factory-correct gaps throughout. The body is completely rust-free and damage-free, with original factory pinch welds still visible around the quarter panels. Refinished in its original Antique White, the paint quality surpasses factory standards with a deep, smooth, high-gloss finish, including the black stripes. Equipped with sport mirrors and optional spoilers, every piece of exterior trim has been restored or replaced to like-new condition. The glass is crystal clear, and all weatherstripping and window seals have been replaced.

INTERIOR

The interior presents as new from floor to ceiling. The seats have been recushioned and professionally upholstered, while the door panels, trim, and interior components remain in exceptional condition. The woodgrain dash trim is beautiful, complemented by a complete set of Rally gauges, including a functioning clock. An AM/FM 8-track stereo provides period-correct entertainment. The center console is immaculate, the headliner is tight and clean, and the dome light operates properly. New carpeting and GM floor mats complete the cabin.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT

Detailed to factory specifications, the engine bay is as impressive as the rest of the vehicle. Power comes from the original Turbo-Fire 350 V8, featuring correct casting numbers, date codes, and a VIN stamp matching the vehicle. It retains the correct stock manifolds, air cleaner assembly, and date-coded spark plug wires. Factory options include air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes. Even the original-style emissions equipment has been correctly restored. Reproduction hoses and clamps have been installed throughout, and every component presents fresh, clean, and factory-correct. The washer bottle, overflow tank, horns, and all accessories are fully functional and properly installed.

UNDERSIDE

A body-off restoration of this caliber is rarely seen. The attention to detail underneath is truly remarkable. The factory Z/28 sport suspension has been completely disassembled, rebuilt, and detailed, including both the front and rear suspension systems. A correct factory-style dual exhaust system with transverse muffler has been installed. The fuel system has been fully restored, right down to the correct stencil markings on the fuel tank. The braking system has also been comprehensively rebuilt, featuring front disc brakes. The underside of the engine is spotless. The original numbers-matching Turbo 350 automatic transmission remains in place with its original identification tag intact.  The floors are pristine, finished correctly in red oxide primer just as they were from the factory.

For the collector who demands the very best, this car delivers on every level. Considering the time, expertise, and expense required to restore a vehicle to this standard, it represents an exceptional value and an opportunity to own one of the finest examples available.
