Chassis / Drivetrain Frame fabricated from 2”x4” boxed steel and the back half of a bobbed Scrambler frame with HD rear cross member.
Custom long arm DOM 4 Link suspension front/rear with 14”x2” Fox coilover shocks, external reservoirs, King springs. Front shock hoops in front have removable crossbar under hood. Rear shock towers frenched into frame.
Sway bars are splined torsion bars (Anti Rock in front by Currie, Speedway Motors in rear) and run through frame.
Front Axle: 1Ton Ford Hi-Pinion Dana 60, King Pin style knuckles with spring eliminator Teflon. Passenger-side diff with ARB locker, 5.13 gears, chevy outers with King Pins, Yukon Hardcore manual lockout hubs. DRW hubs. 3/8 diff cover with support for suspension mount.
Rear Axle: 1Ton 14 bolt, full floater, shaved with ARB locker, 5.13 gears, aftermarket caliper brackets with disc brake conversion. 3/8” diff cover with support for suspension truss.
Wheels/Tires: Military Humvee 16.5x8 2-piece wheels, with welded rock rings, magnesium double bead locks with run-flat portion removed. Tires are mil spec 37x12.5x16.5 Goodyear Wranglers.
Steering: Tilt column, with aftermarket steering shaft (needle bearing u-joints), AGR 2 steering gear for tighter ratio, Sam’s Offroad Pitman arm, Chromoly tie rod and drag link with 1 ton ball joints and Hi-steer arms on knuckles. 3/8” steel mount/guard for steering gear. Steering gear brace to passenger frame rail.
Engine: 2005 Chevy Silverado 5.3 gen III vortec engine with iron block/alum heads. Computer custom flashed. Camaro tube headers into single 3” exhaust. Flowmaster Hush Power muffler. Oxygen sensors on headers, no catalytic converter. Registered in California as a 1963 Jeep CJ5 (no smog req). Aftermarket ‘4-wire’ harness eliminates unneeded wiring. Fuel pump and filter mounted on frame near 20 gallon CJ8 gas tank. Engine mounted/belt driven 10 cu in York compressor for lockers/tires/tools. Custom 3D printed intake tube with K&N cone air filter. Griffin aftermarket aluminum radiator.
Transmission: NV4500 1Ton 5-Speed from a Dodge 1Ton gas pickup. 5.61 first gear, .73 overdrive. Advance Adapters adapter to bell housing. Clutch with hydraulic McLeod performance internal throwout bearing (rebuildable).
Transfer Case: Dana 300 with Lo-Max 4:1 gears, HD Rear Output housing with 32 spline shaft. Clocked nearly level. Twin stick.
Driveshafts: Tom Woods custom rear drive shaft with 1350 U-joints. Front is also custom with 1310 U-joints to Transfer case and 1350 to Dana 60.
Winch: Warn VR EVO 10 recessed and frenched between frame rails. 10,000 lb pulling capacity. Controlled through wired or wireless controller.
Body Tub: LJ length CJ tub with LJ rails welded to tub to accommodate LJ softtop. Full rear 3/16" steel corners (Gen Right) and custom heavy duty rocker panel steel protection. Tailgate and dash from an 80’s CJ. TJ/LJ 1/2 doors/mirrors, TJ/LJ soft upper doors, TJ/LJ door surrounds. Modified YJ windshield frame has reinforced slots for LJ latches for header, softop, or hardtop. LJ rollbar. Basically the CJ tub/windshield has been modified to run LJ doors/top. Custom Fabricated rear wheel wells raised 3” to allow for lower center of gravity. Rear taillights mounted flush with body using Humvee flush taillight buckets. Sprayed in Raptor Liner bed liner. TJ/LJ license plate mount. TJ/LJ gas filler is on passenger side. TJ/LJ fender flares.
Paint: 2 stage paint. 1964 VW Sea Sand L568 paint code
Tops: Full stock LJ Softop with tinted rear zip out windows. Also, TJ bikini top with header.
Dash: CJ dash, leather wrapped grab bar and Grant GT steering wheel, JVC blue tooth head unit with USB and aux input ports on face. Aftermarket 2-way speakers mounted in stock CJ location.
Seats: Aftermarket (Tanaka) black vinyl seats with CJ seat brackets that fold forward. Seats slide and tilt back also.
Grill: Modified 80s CJ grill. Shortened 3”. 1963 (new) amber turn signals.
Fenders: Custom HD flat fenders. Raised 3” to allow for high steering clearance and custom frame. Lower center of gravity.
Hood: New aftermarket 80s CJ hood with 3” removed from sides to align with raised fenders.
Bumpers: Custom rear bumper with 2” receiver built in, front bumper has integrated D-shackle mounts and roller fairlead mount.
