1969 Chevrolet Nova SS L78 - GM Documented, Factory L78
396ci/375hp, Rotisserie Restoration
This exceptional 1969 Chevrolet Nova SS is a GM-documented, factory
L78 example powered by Chevrolet's legendary 396ci V8, factory
rated at 375 horsepower. Finished in rare Code 55 Azure Turquoise,
it combines one of Chevrolet's most desirable high-performance
powertrains with an especially striking factory color.
The Nova has undergone an extensive, concours-level rotisserie
restoration in which the car was carefully disassembled and
restored from top to bottom. Exceptional attention was paid to the
bodywork, paint, brightwork, interior, engine compartment, chassis,
suspension, and undercarriage. The Azure Turquoise finish has been
completed to a show-quality standard, while the engine bay and
underside display the same level of care as the exterior.
Factory-style finishes, components, hardware, and detailing were
used throughout to create an authentic presentation rather than an
over-customized appearance. The result is a beautifully restored
Nova that can be appreciated equally well on the show field, on a
lift, or from behind the wheel.
Its L78 V8 is paired with an M40 three-speed automatic transmission
and a performance-oriented G84 4.10:1 Positraction rear axle.
Additional equipment includes power-assisted front disc brakes, ZJ7
Special Rally wheels, and period-correct E70-14 redline bias-ply
tires.
Combining rare factory specifications, exceptional restoration
quality, a desirable color, and supporting GM documentation, this
Nova SS represents an outstanding example of Chevrolet's compact
muscle car at its very best.
