Introduced in 1963, the Mercedes-Benz 230SL combined elegant
styling, refined performance and everyday usability in one
sophisticated grand-touring roadster. Designed by Paul Bracq, the
W113 became known as the "Pagoda" for the distinctive concave shape
of its removable hardtop and remains one of Mercedes-Benz's most
recognizable and collectible models.
Finished in its factory-correct Code 568H Signal Red over a
beautifully appointed tan leather interior, this 1965 Mercedes-Benz
230SL has been restored to an exceptional standard. It retains its
matching-numbers 2.3-liter M127 inline-six engine, paired with the
desirable four-speed manual transmission.
The factory Pagoda hardtop gives the car its unmistakable profile,
while a Becker Europa II stereo complements the elegantly finished
cabin. Accompanied by its Mercedes-Benz data card, this beautifully
restored 230SL offers a wonderful combination of timeless styling,
documented authenticity and engaging open-air motoring.
