1966 Pontiac GTO - Factory 242 GTO - 389 V8 - PHS Documented
Real-deal factory 242 VIN GTO with just 44,000 miles shown. This
highly original, unrestored example has had one older repaint and a
complete brand-new Parchment interior from Legendary Interiors. The
interior installation with receipts included. Powered by the
correct YS-code 389 V8 that runs strong and sounds great, with no
smoke or valvetrain noise. A new 200R4 automatic transmission has
been installed. Power steering is equipped but currently has a
leak. Finished in Marina Blue with a black vinyl top, the car has
good body gaps and excellent original floors that have been dry-ice
blasted. There are some bubbles behind the driver's door and areas
in the rear wheel wells that could be patched. The trunk is solid
and retains the original spare tire. Documentation includes the
original trim tag, remarkably preserved original window sticker,
owner's manual, and PHS documentation. Additional features include
Dynamat sound deadening, Pontiac Rally wheels with Cooper Cobra
Radial TA tires, and a clean, complete interior. Runs and drives
and is ready to enjoy as-is or continue toward a restoration.
