The 289 has been upgraded with a Holley Street Warrior carburetor, Summit cam, factory 4-barrel intake, electronic ignition, Champion 4-core radiator, chrome valve covers, and Doug's stainless headers with dual 2.5-inch exhaust and Cherry Bomb mufflers. Extensive mechanical work includes rebuilt suspension components, 1-inch Shelby drop, KYB shocks, new control arms, bushings, ball joints and tie rods. The front has completely new disc brakes, calipers, rotors, wheel bearings, master cylinder, proportioning valve, and brake lines, with refreshed rear brakes. The electrical system has been completely rewired with a Ron Francis harness. It also has a new alternator, functional gauges, tachometer, fuel sending unit, and a 500-watt Bluetooth stereo. Inside are new carpet, floor mats, seat belts, deluxe headliner, wood-grain steering wheel, bucket seats, 1963 Falcon console, and trunk liner. The Comet rides on five new American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels with matching 205/60R14 tires, including a full-size spare.
