Classic Cars of Sarasota is proud to present this highly desirable
1967 Shelby GT350, a genuine Shelby Mustang Fastback finished in
striking Lime Gold with a Black interior. Built in April 1967, this
GT350 is accompanied by a 1967 Marti Report documenting its
original factory configuration and is one of only 797 1967 Shelby
GT350s painted Lime Gold.
Under the hood is the legendary 289-cubic-inch Hi-Po V8, fitted
with a Holley 4-barrel carburetor and Shelby modifications,
producing 306 horsepower. Power is delivered through the desirable
C4 3-speed automatic transmission. This Shelby was also originally
equipped with factory air conditioning, making it one of only 256
examples built with A/C.
The 1967 GT350 represented a significant evolution of the Shelby
Mustang. The new fastback body featured a distinctive fiberglass
front end, aggressive hood scoops, side brake-cooling ducts, and
signature ducktail rear spoiler, giving the Shelby a much more
aggressive appearance than a standard Mustang. Braking was upgraded
with Kelsey-Hayes front disc brakes, while the suspension
incorporated performance-oriented components designed to improve
handling.
The 1967 model year was particularly significant in Shelby history.
It was the final model year developed under Shelby American's
direct involvement before Ford assumed greater control of
production, making these cars an important chapter in the Shelby
Mustang story. A total of 1,174 GT350s were produced for 1967, and
this example retains a particularly interesting factory
specification.

Marti Report
Built April 1967
The 1967 Shelby GT350 represents one of the most important chapters
in the development of the Shelby Mustang. Carroll Shelby had
already established his reputation with legendary Cobra sports cars
before turning his attention to the Mustang, transforming Ford's
pony car into a serious performance machine. The 1967 GT350 was the
culmination of that early Shelby Mustang era, combining Ford's
redesigned Fastback body with Shelby-specific styling, suspension,
braking, and engine modifications.
With its Hi-Po 289 V8, 306 horsepower, C4 automatic, factory A/C,
Lime Gold color, and documented Marti Report, this GT350 presents a
particularly interesting factory configuration. Its production
history, documented enthusiast background, and status as a 1967
Shelby GT350 make it a significant automobile for both Shelby
enthusiasts and collectors of important American performance
cars.
