This 1985 Chevy K10 Silverado is a cool, clean, rust free truck
that spent its life in New Mexico before coming to Michigan in 2019
where it was used sparingly as a summer toy. This truck was pretty
loaded by 80's standards and it is stil in excellent condition. The
body is clean and straight and rust free. The Doeskin Tan paint is
mostly original and shows great with only some minor patina here
and there. The previous owner had a couple of small dents repaired
and resprayed (one on the passenger side front fender and one on
the driver side lower cab rocker). The body side moldings were
replaced and the rest of the chrome and trim is original and nice.
The underside of this truck is super clean and we found no rust
issues.
The interior of this truck is also in excellent condition. It
appears to be all original with the exception of a new headliner
and a dash cover being installed. The seat, carpet, door panels,
and dash bezel are original and nice. The headlights, taillights,
brakelights, and turn signals are working. The gauges work. This
truck has tilt wheel and it had cruise from the factory but it is
not working because when the new engine was installed they upgraded
the Carb to a 4 barrel and they did not hook up. It has working
power windows and power locks. The windshield wipers, horn, heat,
and AC work. It still has the factory radio installed but it is not
working.
Mechanically this truck is excellent and it runs and drives great.
The engine is a GM Goodwrench 5.7L 350 V8 that was installed with
153K on it. The truck now has 180K. They added an Edelbrock 4
Barrel Carb, new belts and hoses, new AC parts, new starter, new
alternator, etc. It has the 700R4 Automatic transmission that
shifts great. This was rebuilt 5,000 miles ago and we have the
receipt. It is mated to the np208 transfer case and the 4WD works
like it should. The rear axle is a 10 Bolt with 3.73 gears and a
factory limited slip. The front axle is also a 10 Bolt with 3.73
gears. This is all sitting on a nice original set of Rallye Wheels
with new 32 Inch All terrain tires.
