For Sale: 1957 Chevrolet 150 in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

INTRODUCTION: Here's a lot of '57 Chevy for the money! It's absolutely gorgeous to look at and was treated to a body off frame restoration. Open up all eight barrels, bang through the 4-speed, and spin those tires through the posi- it sounds like a whole lot of fun! Or just cruise out for some ice cream, turn on the air conditioning and the stereo, and enjoy the ride. This '57 gives you the best of both worlds!

EXTERIOR: This is a great looking '57 Chevy! The appealing colors, tinted glass and wheels all come together for an excellent combination. The body was soda blasted, properly prepped and finished in a beautiful two tone Bahama Blue Metallic and silver. The body is exceptionally clean and straight with no signs of rust, and everything fits very nicely. The metallic is laid out evenly, and the finish is polished smooth and glossy. It has new front and rear glass, tinted glass all around and replaced weatherstrips. The chrome shines beautifully and most of the stainless is new. Dual mirrors and antenna dress it up. It's sitting on 15-inch Billet Specialties wheels wrapped in Cooper tires with some extra meat in back for the perfect stance. It was upgraded with LED brake lights and a third brake light cleverly incorporated into the V emblem.

INTERIOR: It is very well executed, just like the exterior. It has bucket seats with fresh foam and upholstery, along with custom molded door panels that look new. Even the window frames have been chrome plated. The dash is finished in beautiful blue and upgraded with a great looking set of gauges and matching clock that light up blue. The factory style heater controls have been upgraded with electric slides, and a retro radio fits neatly into the factory location with 6x9 speakers in the rear shelf. It also features fresh blue carpet, a leather wrapped steering wheel on a tilt column and an American Autowire wiring harness. The headliner was replaced, and LED interior lighting finishes it off.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine compartment is very tidy and proper. At the heart of it is a stout 327 making around 375hp, with 202 heads, an aluminum intake, and dual Edelbrock carbs. It also features MSD ignition and headers, and it's dressed up with plenty of chrome. There's a matched set of valve covers, breathers, and plug wire holders, along with a polished A/C compressor, chrome alternator, pulleys, power steering, master cylinder, and power brake booster. The cooling system looks new with a large electric fan. The battery is properly secured, both horns work, and all the metal surfaces are smoothly painted.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jambs are painted with attention to detail. Inside, the trunk is completely boxed and upholstered with a nicely carpeted floor for a clean, finished appearance. A locking rear panel opens to reveal additional hidden storage space, which is nicely carpeted inside as well.

UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame, and it's now sitting on a custom frame that was boxed, smoothed and painted blue along with the chassis components. The steering and suspension were completely rebuilt. The rear leaf springs were relocated and notched into the frame to accommodate the extra wide rear tires. It was also upgraded with front disc brakes, while the brake lines and e-brake assembly were replaced. The fuel system was replaced, including the tank, and it has a great sounding dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Looking up at the motor, you'll find a good looking finned aluminum oil pan and high torque starter. The 4-speed transmission was just rebuilt, and out back is a 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 posi gears. The floors are nicely restored with smooth, clean metal painted black.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation. Every vehicle goes through our service department where it is inspected, test driven, and we address the essentials before offering it for sale.

CONCLUSION: In today's world, you're not doing a body off frame restoration like this for under six figures. Here's a beautiful '57 Chevy that's already done, ready to go, and loaded with everything you need and then some. Just get in, fire it up, and enjoy it!
