For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet C10 in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

INTRODUCTION: Immaculate! If I had to choose one word to describe this truck, that's it. Every nook and cranny you look into is fresh, clean and tidy. It received a body off frame restoration and it's more than just a pretty face. A performance built 350 is mated to an overdrive automatic, with a posi rear end, power four-wheel disc brakes, power steering and air conditioning. It has the looks to impress, but more importantly, it's a truck you can get in, use and enjoy.

EXTERIOR: This body looks pretty amazing to me. I don't see any rust, damage or dents, and the panels fit exceptionally well. The gaps are precise, the doors fit square and flush, and the cab corners are clean. It features the desirable stepside bed and has been upgraded with a cowl hood. The body was repainted a beautiful teal with a smooth, glossy finish. All of the chrome and trim has been replaced. The grille and front bumper look like new, along with the emblems, mirrors, door handles and even the marker lights. In back is a new chrome bumper and original looking taillights that have been upgraded to LEDs. All of the glass was replaced along with the weatherstrips, and the vent windows were eliminated in favor of clean one piece door glass. It sits just right on 18-inch US Mags wrapped in Nitto tires, giving this classic C10 a great combination of vintage style and modern attitude.

INTERIOR: Inside is finished in a light brown that complements the teal exterior beautifully. The custom seat is completely contoured, cushioned and upholstered with a high quality look and feel. It has new three point retractable seat belts, and even the area behind the seat is neatly upholstered. All of the exposed metal inside the cab is painted to match the exterior, while the dash pad, door panels, armrests and visors are coordinated with the upholstery. Fresh carpet covers the floor, and the instrument panel is new with added oil pressure, voltage and water temperature gauges. It has a deluxe steering wheel that's also color matched. The heater control panel looks new as well. From top to bottom, the interior is exceptionally clean, thoughtfully coordinated and pretty much immaculate.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It's powered by a performance built 350 featuring GM Performance aluminum heads, a GM Bowtie aluminum intake and a dual-feed Holley carburetor. It also has GM Performance HEI ignition and ceramic coated Hedman headers. Up front is a serpentine drive system with GM air conditioning and a modern alternator. It also features power steering and an all new power brake system. A big radiator with a factory style shroud and clutch fan keeps everything running cool. The engine compartment itself is really immaculate. All of the metal surfaces have been smoothed and painted slick as a chalkboard. Everywhere you look, from the wiring to the hardware, every nut and bolt looks fresh. It's exceptionally clean, tidy and detailed throughout.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The stepside bed is actually a new reproduction and features an embossed Chevrolet bow tie in the front panel. It was assembled with stainless nuts and bolts, and the floor is finished with beautifully refinished oak planks held down by polished stainless strips. Even the ends of the top bed rails are finished with little billet Chevy bow tie plugs. The tailgate fits nicely and opens and closes properly.

UNDERSIDE: Absolutely spotless! I mean right down to the last clip, nut and bolt. All of the suspension and steering has been completely rebuilt and upgraded with tubular front control arms and Gas-a-Just shocks at all four corners. The brake system was completely redone and upgraded with drilled and slotted discs at all four wheels and a custom e-brake assembly. It has a neatly installed dual exhaust system and a custom stainless fuel tank relocated under the bed. Looking up at the motor, it is spotless Chevy Orange and features a high-torque starter. The rebuilt 700R4 overdrive automatic transmission connects to a restored driveshaft leading back to a 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 posi gears. The frame and chassis components are smooth, dry metal finished in semi-gloss black. Even the floors of the truck are dry and smooth as a chalkboard, finished in satin black. Take a look for yourself- you'll see exactly what I mean!

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation. Every vehicle goes through our service department where it is inspected, test driven, and we address the essentials before offering it for sale.

CONCLUSION: There are plenty of claims out there about beautiful, restored, pristine vehicles. This one actually lives up to those claims. It's detailed well enough to park in your living room, yet it's far more than just a showpiece. With the performance, overdrive, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering and air conditioning, it has all the right upgrades to make it an absolute joy to drive.
