GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1969 Porsche 912 for
your consideration. This 912 comes in a striking Carmine Red
exterior over a clean Black interior. Powering this Porsche is a
1720cc Flat 4 paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle. The engine
was rebuilt in 2021 and has an estimated 7,000 miles on the build.
This 912 features a big bore kit with 86mm JE pistons, a 7308 Grind
camshaft, and dual Weber 40 IDF downdraft carburetors. Additional
features include a Targa roof, 15-inch Fuchs forged alloy wheels,
Koni dampers at all four corners, a fresh Carmine Red repaint, new
wires, a new distributor, a new coil pack, and more. Drive this one
out of our showroom or have us assist with shipping it to you
anywhere in the United States! Don't hesitate to call us with any
questions or for more information.
The Porsche 912 was introduced for the 1965 model year as a more
affordable alternative to the 911 while retaining the iconic
styling and handling characteristics of Porsche's sports car
lineup. The 912 used a four-cylinder engine derived from the
Porsche 356, giving it a lighter front end and excellent balance.
For 1969, the 912 continued to offer Porsche's distinctive fastback
styling along with the availability of the popular Targa body
style. The Targa featured a removable roof panel and a fixed roll
bar, providing an open-air driving experience while maintaining the
structural characteristics of the coupe. With its combination of
lightweight construction, four-cylinder power, rear-engine layout,
and unmistakable Porsche styling, the 912 has become a popular
classic among Porsche enthusiasts.
