1964 Pontiac LeMans GTO - Beautiful example of the early PMD performance nameplate with all the desirable options you need! Beautiful older restoration that still shows exceptionally well and previously owned by an avid GTO collector. Although the GTO badge was only an "option" for these inaugural years and not a model deciphered by their VIN, this car has got all the right options straight from the factory along with the correct drivetrain and heavy-duty suspension. Powered by it's original "79J-code" 389ci/325hp V8 engine with 4bbl carb and the appropriate "Super Turbine" automatic transmission mated to a 10-bolt posi-rear. This little tiger is a GRRReat cruiser and easy to navigate with factory power steering and power brakes. Exterior has been re-finished in the classic "Cameo Ivory" which is a subtle shade of beige with excellent chrome, trim and original tinted glass all around. Paint shows wonderful from front to back with the exception of one small scratch on passenger rear corner which could benefit from just a quick touch-up brush. Car rides nice and really looks the part on a correct set of 14" wheels with full accessory hubcaps and Firestone Super-Sport redline tires. Interior contrasts perfectly in black vinyl tones throughout with the desirable bucket seats and center console option. Other options include power windows, power seat, remote mirror, rally gauges, AM/FM radio with rear speaker and the iconic Woodgrain 4-bar sport steering wheel. Underneath is clean and presentable while the engine bay is also tidy and show worthy. These cars are known as the beginning of an era for both GM and Pontiac, blending mid-size performance with a touch of class and becoming the "Gentleman's Muscle Car".
