Vehicle Description

1964 Ford Fairlane 500 2 Door Sedan Thunderbolt Tribute

This car represents a complete full restoration depicting the famous Ford Thunderbolt factory drag cars of the era.  Built to be driven on the street, but every bit as powerful as the original Thunderbolt set up for race if desired.  Fresh build with approximately 500 miles.  The odometer wasn’t turned so the mileage showed is 102,553.

Please find below more information pertaining to the restoration

Body and paint:

Factory steel body panels beginning with a very nice rust free car.  The body and fitment is excellent.  Mini tubbed, but very Suttle and looks stock.  Frame tied for maximum rigidity.  Driveline loop installed.  Holley electric fuel system and filter.  Battery in trunk with dead manual switch.  Show quality engine bay.  Fiberglass hood reinforced.  Painless wiring front to back.  Victory red base/clear, color sanded and buffed to a beautiful finish.  Shows really well.

428 cu in FE block standard bore, forged pistons, Manley rods, deep pan 427 type, aluminum heads CNC ported, aluminum intake 2x4 airgap type CNC ported tunnel-wedge style, Holley carbs, TD rockers, solid roller cam 651 Howards, MSD ignition, Crites headers, Crites air cleaner system.

Custom built C4 transmission with reverse pattern, Pro bellhousing, 3500 converter, alloy pan with cooler and Hurst quarter stick.

3 inch custom stainless exhaust with over 3K spent from headers back.  Stainless mufflers.  Sounds incredible.

All bright work, chrome and stainless shows excellent.
