Known as “Blue Magic,” this stunning 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Custom has undergone a comprehensive 7-year restoration and was completed to show-quality standards by MS CLASSIC CARS in September 2026. Finished in striking Cayman Blue Metallic with Silver Beige Z28-style stripes, this classic Camaro combines iconic first-generation Camaro styling with modern performance, handling, comfort and custom upgrades. Since completion, it has accumulated just 200 test miles.
According to the original VIN, this Camaro was originally built in Norwood, Ohio as a 1971 Chevrolet Camaro 2-door Sport Coupe with an 8-cylinder engine. September 2026 marks the first time this beautifully restored Camaro has been offered for sale. A comprehensive binder containing restoration receipts organized by date is included, along with documentation of the work completed by MS CLASSIC CARS.
The body was placed on a rotisserie and sandblasted to bare metal during the restoration. GM sheet metal was used for the front fenders and rear quarters, while the original hood was replaced with a new AMD 2-inch cowl hood. The body was painted Cayman Blue Metallic in 2023 and finished with Z28-style Silver Beige stripes and a satin black rear tail panel. The exterior was recently detailed by MS CLASSIC CARS to a show-quality finish.
Exterior features include factory-style dual sport mirrors, a three-piece tall rear spoiler, new tinted glass, Steele weatherstripping, restored or new stainless trim, bumpers, grille, lighting and emblems. Modern Uni-Shine 7-inch LED headlights provide daytime running lights and amber turn signals. The Camaro rides on 18-inch BOZE Flo-Lite B3 wheels, measuring 18x8 up front and 18x9.5 in the rear, wrapped in Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 V2 tires sized 245/40/18 front and 275/40/18 rear.
Inside, the cabin was stripped to a bare shell and equipped with Dynamat sound and heat insulation before receiving a completely refinished black interior. Features include Dakota Digital VHX gauges, Vintage Air conditioning, tilt steering, Pro Car 90 Series bucket seats, Hurst shifter, Chevrolet steering wheel, reproduction seat belts, custom floor mats and carpeting.
Modern entertainment technology includes a Grandnavi CA-65W touchscreen media center with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, AM/FM radio, MP3/MP4/USB connectivity, modern speakers and remote control. The trunk was restored with factory-style splatter paint and includes a custom black carpeted trunk mat.
Under the hood is a BluePrint 383 cubic-inch V8 dyno tested at 449 horsepower and 453 lb-ft of torque. The 10.0:1 compression engine features a cast crankshaft, hypereutectic pistons, hydraulic roller cam and aluminum heads. Performance upgrades include an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake, Brawler 650 CFM carburetor, Proform valve covers, CVF serpentine system, CVF power steering, Powermaster starter, Griffin aluminum radiator, dual SPAL electric fans, Sanderson ceramic-coated headers and a 2.5-inch dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers.
Power is delivered through a Tremec TKX 5-speed manual transmission sourced from American Powertrain and a McLeod Racing Super Street Pro dual-friction clutch. The drivetrain is backed by a Moser Engineering Muscle Pak 12-bolt Positraction rear end with 3.73 gears and Wilwood rear brakes.
The detailed undercarriage features satin black floors, upgraded suspension components, GM control arms, MOOG bushings and ball joints, heavy-duty sway bar, rear leaf springs and shocks. Stopping power comes from a Wilwood braking system featuring a Wilwood master cylinder, 8-inch booster, 6-piston front calipers, 4-piston rear calipers and 12.99-inch drilled and slotted rotors.
