1970 DODGE CHALLENGER R/T - 440 MAGNUM V8 - 4-SPEED PISTOL GRIP - PLUM CRAZY - NUT AND BOLT RESTORED
A genuine 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T, factory correct restored to the rare configuration it left the factory in: Plum Crazy over a white and black high trim interior with a matching full white vinyl roof, finished from the ground up in our own workshop a few years ago to the highest standard. It's spent the years since in a private local collection, driven sparingly and only on sunny days, so it presents essentially as new. Restoring a Challenger to this level today would easily run to about double the asking price.

THE CAR
Confirmed genuine by the fender tag and VIN: model code JS23, a 440 cid 4-barrel High Performance car (engine code U in the VIN, E86 on the tag, 375 hp), built January 1970 at the Los Angeles plant, VIN JS23U0E128307, order number 172776. It left the factory with the desirable A833 4-speed manual and Hurst pistol grip shifter, the Track Pak option with a 3.54 Sure-Grip rear axle, power brakes, the Rallye instrument cluster with tachometer, and a console with woodgrain panel. The restoration was done entirely in-house, nut and bolt, to the highest standard, and the car has been sparingly driven and carefully kept since.
EXTERIOR
Finished in Plum Crazy (FC7), one of Chrysler's most sought after High Impact colors, with the factory-correct full white vinyl roof and black longitudinal stripe, sport hood with hood pins, dual racing mirrors, chrome exhaust tips, and drip rail moldings all present and correct. Panel gaps, paint, and chrome show a proper restoration rather than a cosmetic respray.
INTERIOR
Bucket seats and door panels trimmed in the car's original high trim white and black combination (code H6XW), a striking factory-correct look. Console with woodgrain panel, Rallye instrument cluster with tachometer, and solid state AM radio all present and working. Minimal wear given how sparingly the car has been used since restoration.
