Exterior
Its striking, Apache like presentation is bolstered by stunning two stage GoldenRod Yellow paint and Corinthian White accenting that includes the bed spear, the grille and bumpers, and the cab roof. For more period styling, wide white walls surround the 15-inch chrome steel wheels and GMC is accentuated by white on the tailgate and it all works together wonderfully. Wooden bedrails add some carrying capacity to the back and are cleverly mounted at the same angle of the C-pillar, continuing a forward leaning profile. Up front is America's toughest looking face with dual headlights and oversized components under a domed hood. Imperfections include some chips, cracking paint, wear on the tailgate, scuffs, blistering, spots of water intrusion, and panel gap issues.

Interior
The palette goes more earthtone on the inside where saddle painted doors lead to a vinyl bench seat of the same color with two tone accenting and all presenting in good condition. A yellow center cap on the saddle steering wheel is a nice callback, and fronts a clean dash with a spun aluminum faceplate around updated gauges. The glossy run of the dash to the right includes an AM/FM/CD radio next to the vintage vent lever panel. Brown carpet presents nicely below, white vinyl is above our heads, and the fixed rear window looks out over a dark stained wood bed with stainless braces that is not only handsome and clean, but veers from the typical light oak planks normally used.

Drivetrain
Under the hood is a clean 270ci inline six cylinder with 130 horsepower and fueled by a 1-barrel carburetor. It's mated to a 3-speed manual transmission that routes power to the Spicer 45 rear with 3.07 gears.

Undercarriage
Clean underneath with a touch of residual oil on the pan and minimal surface rust. A single exhaust flows through a stock style muffler and leaf spring suspension is utilized front and rear. Drum brakes are found on all four wheels and our consignor states the power steering was added in 2023. The truck runs on a 12 volt system.

Drive-Ability
A fantastically clean cabin is a nice way to start a test ride and the inline six takes us through its paces in good form. We do note a slight knock on the bottom end of the engine and the truck has poor steering input we determine from the incorrect pitman arm. In addition, the horn does not work and the heater blower does not shut off. Beyond these things, all functions operate as intended. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.
