1984 Ford Bronco 4x4 529ci Stroker V8 ZF 5-Speed Long-Term
Ownership This 1984 Ford Bronco has been owned by the seller since
1989 and has spent its life as a carefully developed and
garage-kept project. Power comes from a professionally built 529ci
stroker V8 based on a desirable 1969 Thunderbird 429 block, paired
with a rebuilt ZF 5-speed manual transmission. The truck reportedly
shows approximately 90k miles, though true mileage is unknown,
while the engine and transmission have accumulated roughly 3,000
miles since completion. The engine was built by Strasburg Racing
using an early 429 Ford block that was magnafluxed, decked,
line-honed, and stroked to 529 cubic inches with a 4.300-inch steel
crankshaft. Additional upgrades include aluminum cylinder heads, a
roller camshaft and lifters, and Big Dawg ceramic-coated
fender-well headers. Built with an emphasis on torque, the
big-block delivers impressive low-end power along with an
unmistakably aggressive lopey idle. According to the seller, with
the header collectors uncapped, it was among the loudest vehicles
at the Cache Valley Cruise. Finished in exceptionally well-kept
condition, this Bronco is described as rust-free and has been
stored indoors since 1989. The interior features AutoMeter
instrumentation, an Alpine audio system with a 12-disc CD changer,
a Garmin GPS unit, and even a police scanner. The heater and air
conditioning are both reported to function properly. The seller
notes that the truck is not a concours-level restoration, but it
remains an extremely clean, highly detailed driver that presents
very well throughout. Included in the sale are a Skytler half-cab
soft top and a fitted Bronco cover. Highlights Strasburg
