LaFontaine Classic Cars is proud to present this beautifully
restored 1969 Mach 1 finished in Candyapple Red over a Black
interior. This is a genuine M Code Mach 1 that was loaded up with
options from the factory and is powered by a 351 4V cubic-inch V8
and backed by an FMX automatic transmission
Originally an Alabama car, this Mach 1 started with an
exceptionally solid original body and floor which were expertly
refinished during restoration in 2018. Since completion, the prior
owner has only driven the car approximately 300 miles.
The mechanical portion of the restoration was extensive. The 351
engine was rebuilt as was the transmission, additionally a new
starter, alternator, voltage regulator, wiring harness, exhaust
system, intake manifold, and carburetor have been installed. A big
block aluminum radiator was also installed for greater cooling
capability.
The braking suspension, and steering systems were comprehensively
renewed from front to back. New master and booster, calipers,
rotors, rear wheel cylinders, drums, shoes, wheel bearings,
bushings, ball joints, and shocks. Power Steering pump, and power
cylinder. New wheels and raised white letter radial tires installed
in 2025.
The factory air conditioning system was completely renewed. The
Compressor, condenser, drier, and hoses were all replaced and
converted to modern R134 refrigerant.
Inside, the restoration continues with a renewed interior. The
seats received new springs, foam, upholstery, and covers,
complemented by new carpeting throughout. The car also received new
glass and seals, giving the interior a properly finished
appearance.
Looking underneath you will find the same attention to detail is
present. Refinished in red oxide primer just how it would have left
the factory. The sheet metal looks excellent, the true dual exhaust
has recently been replaced and the rear axle spins the factory
optioned 3.00 gear which is perfect for higher cruising speeds! If
