1957 Lincoln Premiere Convertible Project - Rare Luxury Classic
Restoration Candidate For Sale: 1957 Lincoln Premiere Convertible
Project If you're looking for a rare and highly desirable 1950s
luxury convertible restoration project, this 1957 Lincoln Premiere
Convertible deserves a serious look. Powered by its original-style
368 cubic inch Y-Block V8 paired with an automatic transmission,
this Premiere represents the pinnacle of Lincoln luxury during the
late 1950s. In 1957, the Premiere was Lincoln's top-of-the-line
model and came equipped with virtually every luxury option
available at the time. This example has certainly seen better days,
but it offers an excellent foundation for a complete restoration.
The current owner discovered the car in southern Missouri, where it
is believed to have spent most of its life. Based on the owner's
assessment, this appears to be a highly original, unrestored
vehicle that has never undergone a major restoration. It retains
what appears to be its original sheet metal, and the owner believes
the drivetrain is original to the car as well. As expected for a
project of this age, extensive restoration work will be required.
The frame, floors, trunk, quarter panels, interior, and convertible
top all need attention. This is a full restoration project and
should be considered a labor of love for a dedicated Lincoln
enthusiast or collector. Highlights: 1957 Lincoln Premiere
