No. 2,057 of 2,619 U.S. Carrera Coupes Produced in 1986
G Program - Produced from August 1985 to July 1986
Four (4) owners from new presented in its factory color combination
of Grand Prix White (L908) over Burgundy (AG), this 1986 Porsche
911 Carrera Coupe presents in a particularly attractive and
distinctly period combination.
Factory equipment includes:
C02 - Catalytic converter
220 - 40% limited-slip differential
241 - Shorter shift lever for the Type 915 transmission
341 - Central locking system
454 - Automatic speed control
473 - Front and rear spoilers
474 - Sport shock absorbers
650 - Electrically operated sliding sunroof
The paintwork remains in excellent condition throughout with
excellent gaps and panel fitment. The cabin remains very well
presented with Burgundy upholstery featuring Porsche-script seat
inserts, matching carpeting and door panels, a leather-wrapped
Porsche steering wheel, a power-adjustable driver seat, power
windows, power side mirrors, central locking, automatic speed
control, air conditioning, and an electric sunroof. An Alpine
CDA-9851 CD receiver has also been installed. The front luggage
compartment is finished in matching Burgundy carpeting and houses a
collapsible spare tire mounted to a KPZ steel wheel.
Black-centered, polished-lip 16-inch Fuchs-style wheels are fitted
with Yokohama AVS ES100 tires measuring 225/50R16 in front and
245/45ZR16 in the rear.
In September 2026, European Collectibles completed a comprehensive
program of mechanical and cosmetic sorting to bring the car up to
date throughout. Work included an oil service and brake system
flush, replacement of the right-rear CV boot, correction of the
passenger-side power window, air-conditioning leak testing, and
adjustment of the blower housing to eliminate blower noise. A stock
steering wheel was installed along with a new front spoiler and
valance, interior door handles, shift knob, threshold rubber, and
fender-to-cowl seals. The car was then thoroughly detailed to
further improve the overall presentation.
Mechanically, the Carrera is powered by Porsche's 3.2-liter
air-cooled flat-six engine producing 207 horsepower, sending power
to the rear wheels through its Type 915 five-speed manual
transmission. Its factory limited-slip differential, shorter shift
lever, sport shock absorbers, and front and rear spoiler package
make this a particularly well-optioned example. Complete with spare
wheel, toolkit, jack, and recent service history. This 1986 Carrera
is an appealing example of the desirable 3.2-liter generation,
combining its Grand Prix White over Burgundy color combination with
a strong group of factory performance and comfort options, and
extensive recent sorting by European Collectibles.
