The 1974 Corvette marked an important milestone in C3 history. It
was the first Corvette to feature body-color urethane bumpers at
both the front and rear, completing the transition away from the
chrome bumpers of earlier Corvettes. The result is the clean,
flowing Stingray shape that became one of the defining American
sports-car designs of the 1970s.
