Offering Four Wheel Drive, an 8,700 GVWR and a 3,000lb payload capacity, it became the go-to vehicle for logging, farming and anyone who lived off the grid and needed some serious utility. This 1946 Power Wagon was built during the first year of production and spent much of its life at a sawmill. Finished in dark blue, the patina on this truck gives it some incredible character, and is well earned after a life of hard living. Even when used as a work truck for decades, it remains in remarkably good condition. An early "Flat Fender" variant, this truck includes features like a two-way power take off in the rear and a 10,000 lb Braden power take off winch in the front, along with a mechanical dump bed and steel front bumper. At the rear, an 8-foot express cargo bed features slatted ash wood on the floor and wooden stake sides. The interior is just as basic as the exterior, with the bench seat wrapped in black vinyl and bare metal floors. Fitted with the "Deluxe Cab Package" this Power Wagon came from the factory with vent windows, a dome light, a left-side arm rest and dual interior sun visors. Besides that, there is a large 3-spoke steering wheel that frames a single gauge in the dashboard. Powering this truck is a 230ci L-Head flathead inline-6, which produces 94 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque. Built for durability and ease of repair, this engine makes plenty of low-down torque and is run through a 4-speed non-synchro manual gearbox which sends power to all four wheels via a 2-speed transfer case. To slow things down, 4-wheel hydraulic drum brakes are fitted at each corner. Even 80 years after its production, there are few trucks that look tougher than a Dodge Power Wagon - and it's hard to imagine a better version than this. With decades of authentic patina, this is the perfect vehicle for parades and events, or putting to work on your ranch as a haul-anything run around. -- For more information on this 1946 Dodge Power Wagon or any of our High-Performance, Exotic, Luxury, and Special Interest Cars always in stock, contact one of our friendly and knowledgeable sales consultants or feel free to drop by our New Auto Campus in Boise, ID - Home of an Exciting Inventory of Luxury, Exotic, High Performance and Collectible Automobiles.
