Nice Example!! To anybody who knows cars, the Pontiac GTO is
unquestionably the vehicle that kicked off the muscle car
revolution of the 1960s and 1970s. By sticking a big V8 into the
brand's smaller chassis, John DeLorean and his company kicked off a
craze that resulted in many of the most legendary cars to ever come
out of American car manufacturers. This 1965 GTO is a stunning
example which recently underwent a 2 year ground-up
build/restoration, bringing it back to factory correct, with some
period modifications that improve the looks and driving experience.
Finished in Reef Turquoise, the car won 1st place in 22 of the 25
events it has been taken to and, has the added cool-ness of being a
Boise, ID car from new. Currently, the car sits on a set of 14x6
wheels, wrapped in period-correct redline tires, and features heavy
steel chrome bumpers front and rear. The inside is wrapped in Teal
vinyl, making a stunning combination with the exterior color, and
is fitted with front bucket seats and a rear bench. From the
factory, the car was ordered with the Deluxe Interior Package which
fits the car with a faux woodgrain dash, the aforementioned bucket
seats, a floor shifter and a custom 2-spoke steering wheel. The
condition of the interior is immaculate and was clearly competed to
show-level quality. Under the hood sits a 389ci V8 that was rated
at 335 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque from the factory.
Originally, this car came with a 3-speed manual transmission but,
during the build, that was upgraded to a period-correct 4-speed
unit, which sends power to a Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential
at the rear. Hydraulic drum brakes are fitted at all 4 wheels and
the charging system is running 12V. Standing as one of the all-time
greatest muscle cars and, more importantly, the originator of the
class, the GTO is bound to be beloved for decades to come. This
example has show winning pedigree, along with extensive
documentation including pictures and receipts, along with trophies
and magazines pertaining to the car. If you have wanted to put an
example of the original muscle car in your garage - this GTO is the
one to look at! *Additional Information* * Invoices and Photos of
