No Reserve Classics is proud to present to you our 1957 Chevrolet
3100 Cameo Carrier Model 3124 5.3L LS 4L60E Air Ride Restomod!
This custom-built 1957 Chevrolet Cameo Carrier combines the
unmistakable styling of Chevrolet's iconic Task Force-era pickup
with a thoroughly modernized drivetrain, chassis, suspension,
braking system, and interior. At its heart is a 5.3-liter LS-based
V8 paired with a GM 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission,
creating a combination designed around modern performance,
drivability, and reliability.
Supporting the LS powertrain is an extensively upgraded chassis
utilizing Porterbuilt Fabrication components. Power rack-and-pinion
steering, Classic Performance Products drop spindles, a front sway
bar, and additional frame stiffening modernize the truck's road
manners. An Air Lift Performance 3H height-and-pressure
air-management system provides adjustable ride height using
ride-height sensors, a digital controller, and Bluetooth smartphone
connectivity. Dual VIAIR 480C compressors feed a 7-gallon air tank
with 3/8-inch plumbing, while the raised bed floor helps
accommodate the custom air-management installation.
Braking performance has also been comprehensively updated with CPP
power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, including a CPP power brake
booster and master-cylinder assembly along with new brake hard
lines and flexible hoses. The Cameo rides on staggered 20-inch
Detroit Steel Wheel Co. steel wheels finished with beauty rings and
smooth center caps, giving the truck a clean custom appearance
while maintaining its classic character.
Inside, the cabin has been extensively modernized with Snowden
Custom Seats seating, Dakota Digital instrumentation, new
carpeting, and sound-deadening material. A Bluetooth-enabled audio
system featuring JL Audio and KICKER components provides modern
entertainment, while an EZ Wiring chassis and body harness and new
12-volt electric wiper motor further update the truck's electrical
systems.
The exterior retains the distinctive styling that made the Cameo
Carrier one of Chevrolet's most recognizable 1950s pickups. New
glass, new vent-window assemblies, and new exterior chrome and
brightwork extending from the front end through the taillights
complement the build. Under the hood, a shaved and smoothed
firewall provides a cleaner presentation, while a Boyd Welding
aluminum fuel tank further supports the truck's modernized
mechanical package.
More than a vintage Chevrolet pickup with an LS swap, this 1957
Chevrolet Cameo Carrier is a cohesive Restomod that combines
classic Cameo styling with modern V8 power, air suspension,
four-wheel disc brakes, contemporary steering, updated electronics,
and custom interior appointments.
