For Sale: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air in Mansfield, Texas

Vehicle Description

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

The Tri-Five era was a special moment for Chevrolet and while they are all popular in the collector car world, the '57 has to lead the pack. Everyone has their favorite of the 3 years but there is no doubt that the '57 has become an automotive icon and poster car for the classic car community. It is synonymous with 50's car history and has widely been used in pop culture so frequently that even those not in the hobby can point them out. Greaser hair, poodle skirts and the 1957 Chevrolet all are go-to representations for the decade. This car is a true V8 Bel Air (VIN "VC") and is the 4 door version. The car has a ton of potential and is a solid survivor car. Above all it is being advertised a very reasonable price so you can have some fun with it right away and personalize it over time without breaking the bank. The body on it is very solid and rust free. It is painted in a Gloss Black paint paired with a White top that looks great. All of the original Bel Air trim is there including the classic Gold accents and emblems. The lights all work properly with no issues there. The car has the Chevrolet 14 inch wheel covers with Wide White wall tires that look perfect on a car like this.

Under the hood the car features its 283 ci V8 fitted with painted "Chevrolet valve covers, an Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock carburetor, a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner and aftermarket alternator. It runs well and is kept running cool with an aftermarket aluminum radiator. Combined with the engine is a Turbo 350 automatic transmission that shifts smoothly. Although the motor has received some upgrades it does come with a lot of original parts should you want to make it 100% factory original.

The interior is all done in Red cloth that pairs nicely with the Black interior. It has a front/rear bench seat and the upholstery is a nice diamond pattern. The dash is painted Red and has been fitted with all the original trim, knobs, switches, etc. The gauges are not all working but it does come with a part that potentially may fix the speedometer. The painted steering wheel is in great shape and has the chrome Bel Air horn ring. In the trunk you will find the original jack and spare.

This classic '57 has a lot going for it and is a neat survivor car that has been preserved for almost 70 years now.

The car is being offered up for the very realistic price of $24,500.00!
