1948 Chrysler Town & Country Convertible Rare and largely original
1948 Chrysler Town & Country Convertible with approximately 53,000
original miles. Owned since 2002 with believed three-family
ownership and known history dating back to new. This
mostly-unrestored example retains its original woodwork and
joinery, original glass, interior, and simulated walnut wood
inserts. Features include dual spotlights, dual heaters, Autolite
Bullseye headlights, rare purple parking lenses, and S&M fog
lights. The bumper chrome and carpet have been redone, with some
original paint remaining. The car starts easily, shifts properly,
and remains very drivable. All instruments and components work
properly. The top is powered by the original-style twin electric
motor and threaded jackscrew system. The interior has some minor
moth damage and cracks in the seat leather, and the top material is
worn. Tires are good but aged, and some engine-compartment wiring
has worn insulation. There is also a very slight vibration believed
to be related to the clutch or Fluid Drive. A great opportunity to
own a largely original, authentic late-1940s Chrysler Town &
Country. 53,000 Miles • Convertible • Gas • Clean Title • Original
