The success of the 911 SC not only revitalized Porsche as whole, but proved the 911 was here to stay. For the 1984 model year, the company announced the SC’s successor: the Carrera 3.2. Essentially every element of the car received updates. As expected from the new name, the engine received the most notable change, with a displacement increase, updated fuel injection, and a new ignition controller raising output to 207hp in US-spec (versus 180hp for the American-market SC). While the 928 still catered to grand touring enthusiasts, Porsche recognized many 911 buyers, particularly those in the US, still wished for a more ‘polished’ driving experience.

Therefore, previously optional equipment such as air conditioning and power windows became standard (at least in the US), while the increased engine output helped make the car easier to drive in traffic. Unsurprisingly, the updated 911 was an instant hit, with critics and enthusiasts alike raving over its remarkable handling and superb feel - especially when the aging 915-type transmission was replaced with the more robust G50 in 1987. As with all air-cooled 911s, the Carrera 3.2 has experienced a remarkable increase in value over the past decade – a trend that is only likely to continue – making now the perfect time to add one to your collection.

The magnificent 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Cabriolet featured here is finished in gorgeous Grand Prix White over a Deep Red leather interior with a Black power convertible top. This incredible motorcar has been meticulously maintained and recently completed a comprehensive service ensuring it is ready for its next caretaker. With only 35,168 carefully driven miles, incredible condition, and stunning color combination, this is the perfect example to add to any premier collection. We are proud to offer this investment-grade Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires only the very best at an investment price!
