The 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air legendary Tri-Five era. The Bel Air was
Chevrolet's premium trim, offering a blend of style, comfort, and
performance. The 1956 model refined with aggressive styling and a
more pronounced grille, sharper lines, and a balance makes it one
of the most sought-after vehicles with collectors.
The '56 is a frame-off build original miles was 54700 showing
59809. Total mileage since build is only 5109.
Factory 265 V8 with matching power glide transmission. Upgrade with
Edelbrock intake with a 4106 Edelbrock 4-barrel. Distributor was
upgraded to Per-Tronix. Fresh tune up with plugs, wires and oil
change. Even the radiator hose is new. Battery is fresh being
replaced Feb. 2026. The dual exhaust has that nice rumble tone.
This beauty runs smooth and is ready for a road trip. A very
reliable and solid build.
The suspension has many upgrades including Hotchkiss front and rear
sway bars. This is complete all-new front suspension with upper and
lower A-arms and bushings. Nice ride thanks to new KYB shocks front
and rear. Steering is a dream with a new steering column and a
CCP-steering box, and power steering. All new brakes including
wheel cylinders, shoes, and drums turned. Riding on new rims and
the famed button hubcaps. Included in the sale are the original
full size hub caps. Love the look of the wide white wall tires by
BFGoodich P225/70R15 and P235/75R15.
This is a rust-free car. Originally sold new in California. The '56
is laser straight! All outside stainless steel and chrome have been
redone. The new headlights are bright and clear. New rear outside
taillight housings really pops! Upgraded new electric wiper
motor.
The classic style interior done in black and white with silver
piping. The fully restored dash has been kept to the original
styling. A history of the restoration that includes
paperwork/receipts and a photo album of the build.
