Produced for nearly fifteen years, the E-Type evolved through three distinct series, beginning with the 3.8-liter inline-six in the early 1960s and culminating with the introduction of the 5.3-liter V12 in the 1970s. Among collectors, the rare Series 1�, fitted with Jaguar's larger 4.2-liter six-cylinder engine, is particularly sought after.
