1992 Chevrolet G20 Starcraft SL II For Sale This 1992
Chevrolet G20 arrived with something you almost never see on a
vehicle this age: its complete original Starcraft build sheet and
order form, still intact. Built on the GM G20 3/4-ton chassis and
converted by Starcraft for the 1992 model year, the van is finished
in white over the factory's Jade interior spec with dark green
(#332) exterior accent trim. It shows 40,900 original miles and
presents in excellent condition inside and out.Power comes from
GM's 5.7L (350ci) V8 with throttle-body injection, confirmed by the
VIN's engine code, paired with the factory automatic transmission.
The conversion itself is a full Starcraft SL II package, built on
Starcraft's FMVSS 208 Star Structure, engineered steel sidewall
reinforcement and bridge-frame roof support required for the
raised-roof body this van carries. Exterior equipment includes the
raised roof package, heavy-gauge anodized aluminum running boards,
reverse starburst rocker panel graphics, aluminum wheels, and a
front bumper step, all specified as factory options on the original
order.Inside, the SL II conversion brings four fabric-upholstered,
button-tufted captain's chairs with recline and slide adjustment, a
matching sofa/bed with a center flip table, and three-point
restraints at all six outboard positions. Hand-finished walnut trim
runs through the console, clothes bar, and upper sidewalls, and the
van carries its factory 10-inch remote color TVs along with the
optional Audiovox VCP, rear air/heat with rear defrost, sliding
side windows, and window shades. The cabin is finished in
commercial-grade nylon carpet over foam-backed fabric sidewalls
with R-11 insulation. What sets this one apart from most surviving
conversion vans of the era is the paperwork. The original Starcraft
production tag, the order form listing every option code, and the
itemized retail pricing sheet (the full conversion totaled $10,859
over the base chassis) all survived with the vehicle. For a
34-year-old conversion van, that kind of documented history is
unusual, and it backs up the low, original mileage this example
shows.NFI Empire specializes in classic, exotic, modified, and
