1 of 6,759 Collector's Edition Corvettes Produced?
To close out the C3 Corvette era, Chevrolet Offered a Collector's
Edition for 1982. Finished in Exclusive Silver-Beige Exterior, it
featured unquote, grated stripes applied on the hood and from the
front side quarter veins to the rear of the car. Exclusive to the
collectors edition was the 1967 styling of the aluminum finned
wheels.
The Collectors Edition leather interior was the most luxurious of
the c3 interiors. Color matching to the silver-beige exterior,
designed even selected premium luxury carpeting that provided a
contrast top the silver-beige upholstery. Along with the removable
Bronze glass T-Tops & rear window defrost, the collector's edition
had more special characteristics that made it stand out from over
corvettes. To avoid other s from "recreating" the collectors
edition on standard corvettes, GM fixed the VIN with a "0" in the
6th-position.
??As for power ... the Collector's Edition Corvette were given the
all new (at the time) L83 "Cross-Fire" Fuel Injection V8, a twin
electronic throttle body injectors production 200hp on a 5.7L 350ci
V8 with a 700R4 4-Speed Automatic Transmission. This Corvette has
been a collector vehicle since it's Birth in 1982.. with just 23K
miles on the odometer. The exterior still showcased in the
Silver-Beige Exclusive color and Aluminum Wheels. This is a
corvette that stands out and worthy of enjoyment!?
