INTRODUCTION: This one's fast with class! It was professionally
taken all the way down to a bare shell, mounted on a rotisserie,
and rebuilt from the ground up. Under the hood is a 550-horsepower
Butler built 400, backed by serious mechanical upgrades from
functional Ram Air to 4-wheel disc brakes. Inside it's pure luxury
with a full custom leather interior, even heated seats! And
outside- well, that speaks for itself! This is a turnkey Firebird
built for show and go. This Firebird has the looks, the luxury and
the muscle! It received a complete rotisserie restoration with
extensive custom upgrades throughout. Under the functional Ram Air
hood is a Butler Performance-built 400 dyno tested at 550
horsepower. Add the overdrive automatic, 4-wheel disc brakes,
upgraded suspension, Vintage Air and a full custom leather
interior, and you have a Firebird that was built to show and
drive.
EXTERIOR: The body was taken all the way down to a bare shell and
mounted on a rotisserie so it could be restored from every angle.
The results are phenomenal! The body is laser beam straight, the
gaps are square and precise, and I couldn't find a dimple or pimple
anywhere. It features the functional dual scoop hood, dual sport
mirrors, and front and rear spoilers, giving it some Firebird
attitude. The bright red paint is polished like glass and
absolutely pops. It's topped with an upgraded rich tan German cloth
convertible top, which gives the car a classy contrast. The chrome
and exterior trim have been replaced, along with the weatherstrips
and windshield. Finishing off the look are 18-inch Billet
Specialties wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich G-Force performance
tires.
INTERIOR: This is a full blown custom interior done with class.
It's upholstered throughout in genuine leather, with custom
bolstered seats featuring a beautiful two-tone design and Firebird
embroidery. The deluxe door panels were tastefully modified to
complement the rest of the interior. Beautiful high gloss burl wood
trim is incorporated into the dash, console and door panels, giving
the interior a rich, upscale appearance. The color matched dash
features a full set of custom gauges, a tilt column with a Billet
Specialties steering wheel that matches the wheels. Amenities
include heated seats, power windows, Vintage Air climate controls
and a touchscreen stereo system with speakers and tweeters inside
the car, plus additional equipment in the trunk. Premium carpeting
covers the floor and is protected by custom mats. Dynamat
insulation and new wiring were installed during the build, and
bright interior lighting adds another custom touch. Even the
convertible boot was made to match the pattern and upholstery of
the seats. This interior was clearly designed as a complete
package, not just a collection of upgrades.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Performance built and show detailed! The 400
was completely built, blueprinted and balanced by the Pontiac
engine experts at Butler Performance, then dyno tested at an
impressive 550 horsepower. It features desirable 6X heads with
roller rockers, an aluminum intake and Holley dual-feed carburetor
topped with a functional Ram Air induction system. MSD ignition
provides the spark. Because of the healthy cam, a vacuum pump and
reservoir were added to provide dependable vacuum for the power
brakes. The front of the engine is dressed with a polished Front
Runner system featuring billet brackets, serpentine pulleys,
polished A/C compressor, alternator and power steering. Butler
aluminum valve covers add a nice finishing touch. It also features
coated headers, a remote power steering cooler, polished overflow
bottle and Selecta-Speed wiper upgrade. An aluminum radiator with
dual electric fans keeps everything cool. The engine bay itself is
beautifully finished in glossy red, making the entire compartment
look every bit as impressive as the performance it delivers.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Open the trunk and you'll find a completely
custom finished compartment that's boxed and carpeted. A custom
molded fiberglass display is built into the front of the trunk,
neatly showcasing two Alpine amplifiers along with stereo system
hardware. The subwoofers are integrated into the carpeted side
panels, giving the entire installation a clean, finished appearance
while still leaving usable trunk space. The underside of the trunk
lid is finished with a custom upholstered panel, and working trunk
lights come on automatically when the lid is opened.
UNDERSIDE: This car was stripped down and flipped on a rotisserie
for a complete restoration. The entire front subframe was stripped
and rebuilt with serious upgrades, including Global West tubular
control arms, coilover adjustable gas shocks, quick ratio steering
box and a custom sway bar. Low profile frame connectors tie the
front and rear together for added rigidity. In back are lowering
leaf springs with upgraded bushings, adjustable gas shocks and
another custom sway bar. The brake system was upgraded with disc
brakes at all four wheels along with a custom e-brake assembly. The
fuel system was replaced, including a polished fuel tank. An
all-stainless exhaust features an X-pipe and Pypes splitter tips.
Looking up at the clean 400, you'll find a high-torque starter.
It's paired with a TCI 700R4 overdrive automatic transmission,
which sends power back to a heavy duty 9-inch rear end with 3.70
posi gears. The floors are all clean, restored metal finished in
black. Overall, the underside is exceptionally clean, highly
upgraded and built to be driven.
