Build Highlights
This 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS coupe was completed in 2018. The project included fitting the car with a modified 6.2-liter LS3 V8 paired with an LSA-style supercharger and power is sent through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission to a Currie 9-inch rear end equipped with a TrueTrac differential.
Paint finished in red, and tan leather custom interior with center console. The car also features, a Billet Specialties steering wheel, and a Pioneer touchscreen with upgraded performance audio equipment. Additional build features include Rushforth Rated X wheels, hydroboosted braking system with Baer six-piston brake calipers, and long-tube headers.
The current owner acquired the car in 2010. The car has a clean California title. The chassis features an adjustable suspension system with components from UMI, SPC, and Varishock.
Engine & Drivetrain
According to the seller, the 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was built with forged internals and equipped with a range of performance upgrades. These include an LSA-style supercharger, ported 90mm throttle body, and a custom-ground camshaft.
The engine also uses Brian Tooley Racing .660-inch valve springs with titanium retainers, Injector Dynamics ID1050X injectors, and an ATI Super Damper. Catch-can system is installed, along with a Speartech LS-58X engine management system and wiring harness.
Engine power is transferred through a Tremec Magnum six-speed manual transmission with a McLeod RXT twin-disc clutch. The driveline is a Mark Williams 3.5-inch 4130 chromoly to a Currie F9 9-inch rear end with 3.70:1 gearing and TrueTrack limited-slip differential.
Wheels, Suspension & Brakes
Rushforth Rated X wheels measuring 18 inches in front and 19 inches at the rear with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (235/40 up front and 265/35 in the rear).
Suspension upgrades include SPC adjustable upper and lower A-arms, UMI adjustable rear upper control arms, UMI boxed rear lower control arms, Hellwig front and rear sway bars, and adjustable dampers.
Hydroboosted four-wheel disc brake system with Baer six-piston calipers clamp 14-inch slotted and drilled rotors.
Interior
The interior was custom-finished by DJ Designs of San Francisco, California, according to the seller. Saddle leather upholstery cover the front seats, rear bench, custom door panels, and center console. Square-weave floor mats complete the cabin.
Additional interior features include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, an aftermarket shifter, billet door handles, and a Pioneer head unit. The audio system has a JL Audio amplifier and subwoofer along with Focal speakers.

The odometer currently has approximately 5,000 miles, all of which were reportedly accumulated under the current owner’s ownership.
