The 1980 Chevrolet Blazer was part of the second-generation K5
Blazer, which Chevrolet introduced for the 1973 model year. Built
on the Chevrolet C/K truck platform, the K5 Blazer combined the
rugged capability of a pickup truck with the versatility and
comfort of a sport utility vehicle. For 1980, the Blazer received
updated styling and was offered with a variety of V8 engine
options, making it a capable choice for both on- and off-road
driving. The K5 Blazer featured a two-door body style, four-wheel
drive, and a removable rear roof section, contributing to its
distinctive character and versatility. Today, second-generation K5
Blazers have become highly sought-after classics, appreciated for
their tough truck-based construction, iconic styling, and strong
aftermarket support.
