Why 1969 is so desirable?
1969 hits a sweet spot. The 1968 was the first C3 and had a number of first-year quirks, and all the kinks were worked out. By 1969 Chevrolet had re-engineeredthe car, and the "Stingray" name returned to the fenders on the car. It still has the pure early-C3 appearance: chrome bumpers front and rear, vacuum headlights, hidden windshield wipers, dramatic Mako Shark body, removable T-tops on the coupe, and virtually none of the later emissions-era styling compromises. Chevrolet sold 38,762 Corvettes in 1969, so it was a very successful year for sales after refining the 1968,and is the most sought after bumper car in the C3 era.
This 1969 Corvette is a meticulous example that has been refined to an extraordinary level and presents in stupendous, showroom-new condition. Approximately $20,000 has been invested over the past several years to bring this Corvette to an exceptionally high concours-level standard. The attention to detail, overall presentation, and quality throughout make it a prime example of what a beautiful 1969 Corvette should be. This is the type of Corvette that stands apart from ordinary restored examples and represents about the finest quality one could hope to find in a classic 1969 Corvette.
