Survivor classic Car Services is proud to present this exceptional
1929 Ford Model A. Between the gloss black fenders is a 200.5 cubic
inch 4-cylinder engine paired to a 3-speed manual transmission.
Although the Ford has been converted to a 12-volt electrical system
and had turn signals added, the rest of the car is remarkably
stock. The brakes, suspension, chassis, and drivetrain are all
almost identical to Fords original design. Getting this beauty
running is as simple as turning on the fuel, turn the key to the
"on" position, pull the choke, and press the starter pedal! Ok,
maybe its a bit more involved that modern push button cars, but
this is where it all started! The little 4-cylinder starts up easy
and depends on you for a smooth idle. The signature exhaust note
from the tractor-derived engine is unmistakable. The unsynchronized
transmission means it takes practice to shift without grinding, but
the reward is a smooth-running beauty from almost a century ago! To
think this Ford was initially assembled before the internet, before
televisions became mainstream, and before jet engines! still
surviving with an all steel body and all steel fenders is quite
impressive.
The Model A helped forge America into the modern times. This
beautiful example has won Best of Show and always gets a plethora
of attention. The restoration quality is top-notch. This is a
wonderful piece of American history and would make a great addition
to any collection!
