For Sale: 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza in Pembroke, Massachusetts

Vehicle Description

A super nice older restoration (around 2010) of a highly sought after model from the first generation of Corvair. 1962 was a pique year for production after realizing it was the sporty, bucket seat models that sold. Here we have a numbers matching Roman Red on red bucket seat interior with the desirable four speed manual transmission and the upgraded 102 HP flat six engine. So turn key, this car could be easily driven daily. We just did a afull paint correction and hardly a flaw to be found. It came out fantastic! The interior appears to have been completely redone to factory spec using correct reproduction finishes. Beautiful seats, carpeting, side panels and headliner. The dash pad has some adhesion issues at the windshield side, presumably from the Florida sun which is where this car came from.Decent chrome and trim with usual minor pitting and some minor chrome peel on both replacement bumpers. This car was restored approximately 15 years ago or more. Overall, it's held up amazingly well.

102 aluminum flat six fires right up no matter how long it sits and is completely drivable. We just installed a new, upgraded fuel pump from Clark's Corvair Parts.

Just a really fun, easy to own driver you won't be ashamed of. Check out the full gallery of pictures and watch my full YouTube walk around video attached here.

FUN FACT - This car was the cover photo of the Macy's spring 2013 catalog. It's former owner in FL was a Macy's employee and was asked if her car could be used. It's pictured on the beach in Florida. Check it out in the photo gallery...
