This was an original rust-free car prior to its frame-off restoration, which was completed in 2017 to high show-quality standards. The vision was to create a custom that looked similar to how a hot rodder might have modified it in the 1950s. MS CLASSIC CARS purchased the car in 2020 and sold it to previous customers in Casa Grande, Arizona. During their ownership, it was displayed in their collection and driven only 243 miles. MS CLASSIC CARS purchased it back in July 2026, and it has traveled only approximately 1,500 miles since completion. September 2026 marks the first time it has been offered for sale. The exterior retains all original sheet metal except the driver's-side rear quarter. The body is laser straight with excellent panel fitment, gap lines, and fit and finish. Finished in the factory-available 1956 Tuxedo combination of Onyx Black and India Ivory, the show-quality paint was recently detailed to a mirror finish by MS CLASSIC CARS. New glass was installed throughout, including the windshield, vent glass, door glass, rear side glass, and rear window. The exterior trim and components were restored or replaced, including stainless trim, mirror, antenna, hood ornament, grille, headlights and bezels, body side moldings, taillights, bumper, and emblems.
Modern upgrades include a Rain Gear windshield wiper system and a great stance on polished 18-inch American Racing Torq-Thrust wheels wrapped in new Nitto NT555 tires, sized 245/45R18 front and 255/45R18 rear.
Inside, the original 1956 Bel Air design is beautifully complemented by a factory-available Red and Beige interior. The painted dash, steering wheel, and trim present beautifully, while the seats, door panels, carpeting, and headliner were restored or reupholstered. Numerous interior components were restored or replaced, including gauges, dash trim, clock, knobs, switches, door hardware, pedals, sill plates, and mirrors. Correct-style red rubber Bel Air floor mats protect the carpeting. Additional upgrades include Stewart Warner temperature and oil-pressure gauges, Hurst shifter, and a modern Antique Automobile Radio with Pioneer front and Kenwood rear speakers. The trunk is fully refinished with a red carpeted mat and features an Optima Red Top battery and power cutoff.
The highly detailed engine compartment is finished in high-gloss black and houses a rebuilt dual-quad 350/400HP V8. Performance upgrades include a Comp roller cam, roller rockers, Vortec heads with stainless valves, Edelbrock intake, dual Edelbrock 500 CFM carburetors, finned valve covers and air cleaner, aluminum water pump, MSD electronic ignition, Taylor wires, polished alternator, and custom pulleys. A heavy-duty radiator keeps operating temperatures around 170 degrees.
The engine breathes through Hooker Super Comp ceramic-coated headers into a Flowmaster exhaust system with embossed tips and remotely operated electric cutouts for an aggressive exhaust note. Power is delivered through a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, Centerforce clutch, and blow-proof bellhousing. The drivetrain includes a new Denny's driveshaft and rebuilt Ford 9-inch Positraction rear end with 4.11 gears. The combination was built to replicate the style and performance of a high-end 1950s/1960s custom hot rod.
The undercarriage is equally impressive and highly detailed, with factory-style red oxide primer on the floors. Everything underneath was restored or replaced, including the fuel tank. Suspension upgrades include a CPP close-ratio power steering box, CPP tubular upper and lower control arms, 2-inch drop spindles, and Bilstein rear shocks. Power four-wheel disc brakes feature an 8-inch black booster with drilled and slotted rotors.
