Here is a really stunning looking Bentley Azure finished in black
with 2-tone Magnolia Connolly hides with tan accents (seat piping,
dash and floor rugs). This Azure is in excellent condition with a
stunningly low 23,500 miles. The Bentley Azure is powered by a 6.75
litre Rolls-Royce designed V8 engine with the Bosch fuel injecton
system and Garret Turbo-charger. Exuding some 400 horsepower it
pumped out over 600 foot pounds of torque. So she is quite spritely
indeed and, quoting Modern Car's review upon its release; "such is
the power of this 2.5 ton behemoth, when you power down streets in
Sussex, she blows leaves off trees in Kent!". It has the look and a
true behemoth it is! With the Black and tan colour combination,
this is indeed a handsome beast. This is a "real" Bentley when they
were an integral part of Rolls-Royce; built side-by-side
Rolls-Royces using Rolls-Royce parts, Rolls-Royce engineering,
Rolls-Royce manufacturing and craftsman, all on the same factory
production line which made Crewe famous for everything and anything
Rolls-Royce AND Bentley. (See Wikipedia link: Crewe factory) This
one is a well-maintained example with a good clean Car-fax history.
Records show very recent service provided by Bentley, Jacksonville
which included a brand new set of tyres. The car is yet to go
through Park-Ward's workshop, but as is-is, she drives smooth and
powerful without any notable mechanical issues. Under the bonnet,
the presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but
simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. The body of the car
is straight and the paint deep in lustre and consistency. Upon
walking around the car, there are the odd little chips, minor
blemishes and marks but I mention these really out of "clear and
open disclosure" as there is nothing that "stands out". The paint
it is very shiny without any fading, dents or dings and certainly
presents beautifully for show and general driver use. Rubbers,
mouldings, badges and external fittings are all in good condition.
The interior on this car is really nice with the Connolly leather
showing beautifully and is very original. It has never been re-dyed
or messed with and yet remains super soft and supple. The burl
walnut wood throughout is excellent and all is good but for the
door cappings which are showing some excessive clear coat cracking.
We recommend refinishing these and we can provide this service
in-house. The remainder of the wood is excellent with only a few
very minor hair-lines on one section of the dash but certainly not
something that needs redoing. Carpets, seats, dash, headlining and
fixtures are all very nice and I best encourage you to look at all
the photos to fully appreciate how nicely the interior presents.
***A very important item to note: The convertible tops on these
cars are a combination of electric and hydraulic. They are renown
for leaking and this one is no exception. When they are repaired,
the replacement ensures they will not leak again. This Azure needs
this attending too and we are in-house experienced in doing so,
having done many. It is not a cheap job and so we are offering the
buyer the choice for us to do the work OR purchase the car at a
discount and you attend to the work independently. Please call to
discuss. Again, this problem is common to ALL Azures (not just
some) so it's not an issue to be concerned with but simply one that
needs attending to. Aside, this Azure has all the signs of a
well-maintained example. It is tight to drive, idles smooth,
powerful, brakes strong and rides as a Bentley should. The car is
of very high standard and is an easy 10 out of 10 driver rating.
She is 100% factory original in specification in every respect.
