Here is a really original presenting Rolls-Royce Silver Spur
finished in Acrylic white beautiful rich St James red Connolly
hides throughout accented with cream piping. The carpets carry the
same burgundy with cream piping. A truly magnificent combination.
These nice condition Silver Spurs are not so often seen anymore and
it is truly a delight to come across such an original presenting
example such as this one. And with 124,500 miles, this is a car
that has been regularly used and maintained and performs
accordingly. The Rolls-Royce Silver Spur is powered by a 6.75 litre
Rolls-Royce designed and built V8 engine with the Bosch fuel
injection system which provides ultra smooth touring. She is what
is known in the circle as the "20,000 series" which is considered
vastly improved over earlier years. This example is very clean and
presents original in almost every detail. A very clean 2-owner
example that spent its whole life in Kansas. The second owner held
her in a private collection for some 20 years covering minimal
miles. Under his ownership the car has won various show awards
including first in its class some 10 years ago. The car has been
regularly maintained by Zenith Motors in Missouri who is well
recognized in the Rolls-Royce community, including the RROC, as
amongst the best in the field. And it shows, under the bonnet, the
presentation is very clean. It has not been precision detailed but
simply well-kept and maintained throughout its life. The car
throughout, under the bonnet and underside look every bit of a low
mileage Rolls-Royce. The body of the car is straight, clean and
totally accident free. The car does not appear to have had any
paint and presents very consistent with a high gloss, deep lustre
and pretty much without issues. There are a couple of imperfections
here and there but nothing extraordinary. All glass, rubbers,
mouldings, stainless, badges and external fittings are all in good
condition. Its great to see the Rest Of World headlights ~ just as
the designer intended ~ and not the ugly Cadillac type as seen on
most American model. The interior on this car is without issue and
simply gorgeous and completely original in presentation. The
factory original Connolly leather shows beautifully with just the
right amount of natural patina. It all presents very clean with the
seat leather supple and soft. Carpets, seats, dash, rear parcel
shelf, fixtures and fittings are truly nice and I best encourage
you to look at all the photos to fully appreciate how well the
interior presents. All the wood throughout is in excellent
condition with only the most insignificant blemish. Certainly
excellent for its age and in no need for any refinishing. The car
has picnic tables fitted and they present beautifully. She idles
and drives very smoothly without any notable issues. The car is of
very high standard and is an easy 10 out of 10 driver rating. She
is a very elegant example of the early Spirit model with few, in
this fine condition, remaining these days.
