The 427 is paired with a Ford Toploader 4-speed manual transmission, Centerforce clutch, and Hurst shifter. A Ford 9-inch rear end with 4.11:1 Detroit Locker helps put the power down, while front coil springs, rear leaf springs, and traction bars support the street/strip setup. Four-wheel drum brakes provide the stopping power.
