Zoom Classic Cars present this 2002 Chevrolet Corvette C5
Convertible. Here is an excellent opportunity to own a beautiful
2002 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible finished in the highly
desirable Magnetic Red II Metallic, one of the most distinctive
colors available on the C5 Corvette. The combination of the deep
red metallic exterior, black leather interior and black convertible
top gives this Corvette a sophisticated, classic appearance that
looks particularly good with the top down. Even better, this is a
four -owner Corvette, with the current owner having purchased it
from Corvette Mike's this year and putting only 575 miles on the
car since. It has clearly been enjoyed as a collector/enthusiast
car for most of its life rather than used as everyday
transportation. Under the hood is Chevrolet's legendary 5.7-liter
LS1 V8, producing 350 horsepower, equipped with a Z06 intake and
paired with the highly desirable 6-speed manual transmission. The
LS1 provides plenty of effortless power, while the six-speed gives
the driver considerably more involvement than an automatic-equipped
C5.Adding to the experience is a Corsa exhaust system, giving the
LS1 an excellent V8 soundtrack and an appropriately aggressive
character without making the car unpleasant to drive on the
highway. The black leather interior is in excellent condition and
is equipped with a terrific collection of C5 features, including
dual power seats, power telescopic steering wheel, driver memory,
dual-zone air conditioning, Heads-Up Display and Bose premium
audio. The Magnetic Red II Metallic paint is in overall excellent
condition, with a deep, glossy finish that presents extremely well.
As part of our inspection, we identified one localized cosmetic
blemish on the left rear corner of the bumper cover. It consists of
a scrape/scuff with some paint loss and localized cracking, along
with a couple of smaller superficial marks in the immediate area.
The blemish is clearly shown in the accompanying close-up
photographs. Our company believes in being completely transparent
about the condition of our cars, so we have photographed and
disclosed this item rather than simply calling it a scratch. It is
a cosmetic issue only and does not affect the operation or
drivability of the Corvette. Importantly, everything on the car
works as it should, and the Corvette has successfully passed a
recent Massachusetts safety inspection. The car runs, drives and
handles exactly as expected, with the LS1 providing strong
performance, the six-speed making the car exceptionally enjoyable
to drive, and the Corsa exhaust providing the sound that makes
every drive a little more entertaining. The C5 Corvette represents
an important chapter in Corvette history. The LS1, lightweight
body, independent suspension, rear transaxle configuration and
sophisticated chassis helped make the fifth-generation Corvette a
genuine performance car while retaining the comfort and usability
expected from America's sports car.Today, the C5 is increasingly
appreciated by enthusiasts who recognize that it offers an
outstanding combination of performance, styling, reliability,
affordability and collectability. And among the many C5s available,
a low-mileage convertible with a 6-speed manual transmission and an
unusual factory color such as Magnetic Red II Metallic is an
especially appealing combination. This isn't an over-modified
Corvette or a project car. The Z06 intake and Corsa exhaust are
tasteful performance upgrades that complement the LS1 rather than
fundamentally changing the character of the car. The fact that the
current owner has driven it only approximately 600 miles makes it
an especially interesting car for the enthusiast looking for a C5
to enjoy now and potentially preserve for the future. If you've
been searching for a C5 Corvette convertible with the right
combination of color, equipment, transmission and careful ownership
history, this one deserves a close look. Stored in MA, this "Garage
Queen" has always been garaged and comes with clean title in the
owner's name and the clean Carfax as shown. This is the kind of
Corvette that is equally at home being enjoyed on a beautiful
summer afternoon or carefully tucked away in a collection for the
next generation of Corvette enthusiasts. Please call Jeff to
arrange a viewing and test drive. Thanks for Looking.
