Barrel, decoded by renowned Mopar expert Galen Govier and listed in
his registry. It has been rotisserie restored back to the way it
was born, including its N96 Shaker hood and Rallye Red paint. An
authentic, highly desirable example of legendary Mopar muscle.
EXTERIOR: This 'Cuda was taken down to a bare shell, mounted on a
rotisserie, and restored from every angle. The end result is a
laser beam straight body with precision fit gaps and no rust or
damage showing. Of course it has the highly desirable N96 Shaker
hood assembly with racing style hood pins. It was repainted in its
original Rallye Red, then polished to a smooth, glossy finish. The
windshield was replaced, and all of the chrome, moldings, and trim
were either restored or replaced. Up front, the grille is restored
and it retains the factory fog lamps. Out back is the correct
blacked out tail panel. The vinyl top and weatherstrips were
replaced, and the sides are finished with the iconic hockey stick
stripes featuring 440 callouts. Completing the look are restored
14-inch body colored poverty wheels with dog dish hubcaps, wrapped
in reproduction Goodyear Polyglas tires.
INTERIOR: Wonderfully restored from top to bottom! The interior was
completely gutted during the restoration; lift the carpet and
you'll find clean, red painted metal underneath. The seats were
rebuilt with new cushioning and upholstery, giving them a
comfortable new feel with a crisp, wrinkle free fit. The center
console looks brand new and features the iconic Slap Stik shifter.
In front of you is a replaced dash pad and the desirable Rallye
instrument cluster with full gauges, including a tachometer and
clock. The original AM radio remains in place, and the steering
wheel is in very good condition. Down on the floor is nicely fitted
carpet with reproduction mats. Overhead, the new headliner fits
tight and clean, and it has new visors, rearview mirror, and a
working dome light. Complete set of original seatbelts including
shoulder belts. The side panels and all of the plastic trim are
also in excellent shape.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The glossy red engine bay makes a beautiful
backdrop for the numbers matching 440 Six Barrel, factory rated at
390 horsepower. It's highly detailed and authentically presented
with stock exhaust manifolds, valve covers, and the legendary trio
of Holley carburetors. Up top is the desirable N96 fresh-air
induction Shaker hood scoop. It's also nicely equipped with factory
power steering and power brakes. Attention to detail is impressive,
right down to the date coded spark plug wires, reproduction hoses
and clamps, correct radiator, shroud and fan. The washer squirters
and horns are hooked up, the wiper motor is restored, and the
wiring has been replaced. The fender tag remains in place and has
been decoded by noted Mopar authority Galen Govier, and the hidden
VIN stampings on the cowl and core support are also present.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Beautifully restored with clean, solid metal
finished in the same slick red paint as the body. It's complete
with a reproduction trunk mat and a cover over the spare tire. The
restored jack assembly is properly mounted, and a car cover is also
included. The weatherstrip has been replaced, and the correct
reproduction decals are in place.
UNDERSIDE: When we say rotisserie restored, this is what we mean-
the car was completely disassembled down to a bare body shell,
mounted on a rotisserie, and flipped on its side. Underneath is
clean, rust free metal finished in the same glossy Rallye Red as
the exterior. All of the steering and suspension components were
rebuilt. The brake system was completely rebuilt, including the
lines and parking brake assembly, and it has factory disc brakes up
front. The fuel system was replaced, including the tank and lines.
It has a factory correct dual exhaust system that is authentic
right down to the dated Mopar mufflers. It's also complete with
resonators and distinctive square exhaust tips exiting neatly
through the rear valance. Looking up at the engine, it is spotless.
The matching VIN stamping is visible along with the casting numbers
and date codes. A high torque starter was added for improved
reliability. The 727 TorqueFlite automatic was completely rebuilt
with Six Pack spec internals. The rebuilt driveshaft runs back to
the 8� inch rear end with 3.55 Sure Grip gears. The underside
further demonstrates the thoroughness and quality of this
rotisserie restoration.
