DESCRIPTION:
1985 Mercedes-Benz 380 SL Roadster (R107) wearing its original Champayne Gold Metallic paint with brown leather interior. The 64,000-mile survivor is powered by the original 3.8 L / 155 horsepower V8 and back by its matching 4-speed automatic transmission. The ‘Benz is currently on its third owner who has had the car for over 20 years and always kept it in a garage. It has been entered into 2 Concours D’Elegance shows and finished #2 both times. Detailed records going back to the early 1990’s accompany the sale showing that no expense was spared when it came to servicing the Mercedes-Benz. Recent work includes a new battery, set of tires, and servicing the transmission.

When looking through the service history it should be noted a new timing chain and water pump were done at 58,000 miles as preventative maintanence.
The Carfax is clean and shows no evidence of an accident or ever being repainted. You will notice some ‘scuff marks’ in the paint (see photos) where apparently one of the prior owners took the car through car washes. Otherwise, the paint looks fantastic. The hardtop shows no evidence of scratches or marks, all the glass, and the brown Haartz cloth soft top are in excellent condition.
All exterior lights, turn signals, brake lights, and fog lights function.
The brown leather interior is in excellent condition, showing no wear spots, tears, or broken seams. The dashboard and carpet look great and all the factory gauges and options (cruise control, defroster, heater) function. Only the power antenna, clock, and the A/C do not work (compressor comes on but it needs refrigerant). The after-market Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo player works fine, but please note the original Becker radio is not included.
The factory tools and first aid kit are included and what looks to be, the original spare tire.
Owner is selling for personal reasons.
