1935 Ford Pickup — Flathead V8 | 4x4 | Overdrive
Offered by Platt Motors — Weaverville, California
Here’s something you don’t see every day: a 1935 Ford pickup combining classic prewar Ford styling with four-wheel-drive capability and traditional Ford flathead V8 power.
This truck was built on a 1964 Jeep 4x4 chassis, giving it a completely different personality from a stock ’35 Ford. Power comes from a Ford flathead V8 paired with a manual transmission with overdrive.
Finished in deep red with contrasting black fenders, the truck retains the unmistakable ’35 Ford appearance up front, including its tall grille, separate headlights, running boards and beautifully shaped front fenders. Out back, the pickup bed is fitted with varnished wood stake sides that complement its vintage character.
Additional features include a side-mounted spare, painted steel wheels with bright hubcaps, front and rear chrome bumpers, dual windshield wipers and a straightforward vintage-style interior.
Underneath is where this Ford becomes particularly unusual. The Jeep-based chassis and four-wheel-drive running gear make this a genuine old-school conversion rather than another restored stock pickup or modern street rod.
Highlights include:
This is an older custom build and should be viewed for what it is: a distinctive, driver-oriented vintage 4x4 with tremendous character, rather than a factory-correct restoration.
