Block and all of our other inventory!
No Reserve Classics proudly presents this triple-black 1970
Chevrolet Chevelle SS, a professionally built twin-turbocharged
big-block muscle car that combines iconic Chevelle styling with
modern engine management, traction control, and serious performance
capability.
At the heart of this Chevelle is a built 461ci marine four-bolt
Chevrolet big-block featuring a steel crankshaft, Callies Compstar
connecting rods, 8.2:1 JE/SRP forged pistons, AFR CNC aluminum
cylinder heads, and COMP Cams roller valvetrain components. Twin
Precision 76mm T4 turbochargers feed a Hogan sheet-metal intake and
air-to-water intercooler system, creating an estimated 1,000 crank
horsepower. Dynojet results document 705.37 horsepower and 690.61
lb-ft of torque.
Modern Haltech Elite 2500 engine management, Bosch 160 lb/hr
injectors, a GM 90mm drive-by-wire throttle body, LS-style
coil-pack ignition, and front and rear wheel-speed sensors provide
precise fuel delivery and electronic traction control. Fuel is
supported by a Waterman cable-driven mechanical pump, Walbro
priming pump, Weldon regulator, Aeromotive filtration, and methanol
injection. Custom stainless headers, downpipes, Dynomax mufflers,
and a full stainless exhaust produce a powerful soundtrack to match
its performance.
Power is transferred through a Turbo 400 three-speed automatic
transmission fitted with an upgraded 300M input shaft and ProTorque
converter. A 12-bolt limited-slip rear axle with 3.08:1 gearing and
28-spline axles puts the power to the pavement, while KORE3
Corvette-based four-wheel brakes, Hydroboost power brakes, power
steering, and a close-ratio steering box add confidence and
control.
Finished in a striking triple-black color combination, this
Chevelle wears deep black basecoat/clearcoat paint, contrasting
white stripes, and a black vinyl top. The all-steel body is
complemented by a fiberglass 4-inch cowl hood, factory glass, and
Coy's chrome wheels measuring 18x8 inches up front and 18x9.5
inches in the rear. Nitto tires-including 305-series rear drag
radials-complete its aggressive stance.
Inside, the black cabin blends classic Chevelle SS style with
purposeful modern upgrades. Procar front bucket seats, Dakota
Digital VHX instrumentation, a Super Sport-style dash, Grant
steering wheel, Vintage Air air conditioning and heat, replacement
wiring harness, and upgraded audio create a driver-focused
environment. The sound system includes an AM/FM/CD radio, Rockford
Fosgate component speakers, a Soundstream four-channel amplifier,
and a trunk-mounted subwoofer. Original seats are included.
The underside is equally well equipped with BMR 2-inch lowering
springs, Bilstein shocks, SPC adjustable upper front control arms,
adjustable upper and lower rear control arms, upgraded sway bars,
an under-car-mounted intercooler radiator, and a 12-bolt rear axle
with aluminum cover. The stainless exhaust exits at the factory
bumper location for a clean, refined finish.
