Cruisin Classics is pleased to offer for your consideration this
1989 Chrysler New Yorker Landau. 1989 was the most popular New
Yorker of the 13th generation model run with over 100,000 produced
- and it's easy to see why, this is one good-looking car! This
Chrysler comes to us dressed in its original factory coat of Bright
White paint and it is still in very good driver-quality condition
with only minor imperfections. The front end features a vertical
bar chrome grille that's topped with a pentastar hood ornament and
flanked by hidden headlamps that work just as they should. Below is
a wrap-around chrome-accented bumper cover. Subtle grey and red
pinstripes flow down the sides along the upper body line from front
to back. Tons of chrome accents shine in the side view - wheel lip
molding, rocker molding, windshield and window trim, dual side
mirrors, side marker light surrounds, door handles, and a brushed
halo band that fronts the padded white vinyl landau top. All this
brightwork really pops against the white paint and adds to the
luxurious look. Further complementing the side view are a set of
factory steel wheels with Chrysler wire hubcaps all wrapped in
Michelin thin white wall tires. Looking at the car from behind,
vertical taillamps flank a trunk lid with a bright trim band and a
pentastar keyhole cover. A third brake light sits just beneath the
rear window and a chrome bumper accent mimics the look of the front
end. The trunk lid features a soft-touch closure mechanism that
adds to the luxury feel. Inside, the trunk is fully carpeted and
contains a miniature spare and factory carpeted floor mats.
Under the hood, you'll find a stock engine bay with a 3.0-liter V-6
engine that was factory-rated at 141 horsepower. The smooth-running
V-6 is mated up to a 4-speed Ultradrive automatic transmission that
sends power to the front wheels. A quick look around reveals power
steering, power front disc and rear drum brakes, and factory air
conditioning. Cast exhaust manifolds lead to a single exhaust that
quietly exits under the bumper at the driver's rear.
When you open the driver's door, eight courtesy lights all pop on
to illuminate a gorgeous burgundy interior that just screams
elegance and comfort. The door panels are a mixture of burgundy
carpet, vinyl, and buttoned velour, accented with simulated burled
wood trim. The drivers door features power locks, power windows, a
speaker, and power controls for the driver's seat with two memory
buttons. The rear doors are similar in style, but they offer only
power window controls and ashtrays. The seats in this New Yorker
are as comfortable as your favorite recliner and they look like
brand new! Up front is a split bench with fold-down center armrests
and the rear bench also offers a fold-down armrest. The seats are
dressed in plush button-tufted maroon velour that's incredibly soft
to the touch. Underfoot is stain-free factory maroon pile carpet
and overhead is a tight felt headliner and a console with temp,
fuel, economy and info buttons (inop.) and two map lights. On the
rear package tray are two factory speakers and headphone jacks with
a volume knob for the back seat passengers. The driver is treated
to a leather-wrapped steering wheel with working horn on a tilt
column with a column shifter. The turn signal stalk has controls
for the intermittent wipers as well as the cruise control. Ahead of
the wheel is a maroon padded vinyl dash with more burled wood trim
that is home to a futuristic digital instrument dashboard with
displays for oil, fuel, battery, and temp as well as a speedometer.
The odometer reads only 59,941 actual miles! To the right of the
digital display are controls for the heat, A/C, and fan that work
exactly as they should. Below that is a Chrysler Infinity
AM/FM/Cassette stereo system that plays your cruisin' soundtrack
through speakers on the dash, doors, and rear tray. To the right is
a fold-down cup holder and a glovebox with a trunk release and
courtesy light. Also in the glovebox are the original owner's
manual, stereo manual, and warranty booklets. There is also a
receipt from last year totaling $3,730 for a headlamp shutter motor
rebuild, new valve cover gaskets, new front struts and an
alignment, cleaning the throttle body, a window motor replacement,
and a fuel pressure regulator.
If you're looking for a well-cared-for luxury car with a lot of
life yet to live at a price that won't break the bank - then this
New Yorker is definitely for you! It's low-mileage, has a clean
carfax that shows regular maintenance and service, it looks
spectacular, and it pampers you with a multitude of creature
comforts! Give our friendly staff a call today - this beauty is
