For Sale: 1985 BMW 528e in Cadillac, Michigan

- Bought by its current's late husband in 1986, who sadly passed a couple of years ago. As you can tell by the pics, the car was very special to him. The car always has been garaged and maintained by those who know a thing or two about older German cars, unlike myself, who, knows a little about these older German cars, other that they're incredible to drive !! - Paint and body are in fantastic shape !! Paint appears to be original, that shows very well, upon close inspection, there is a couple of minor chips. Super solid undercarriage, floors, firewall , wheel wells and rockers. Very nice body gaps , opening and closing of doors, hood and trunk. Some of the exterior trim does show age and very nice brightwork. Working horn, lights, signals and wipers. The interior is just as clean, with no signs of abuse, neglect or ever being smoked in. The dash pad does show age / cracks. Very nice carpet, headliner, door panels and seat covers. Working gauges and HVAC controls. Has added aftermarket radio, that I don't know how to turn on ? I'm guessing the husband may have been larger, because driver's seat backrest is broken ? Power windows work as they should, except, right, passenger rear, that has to be operated by the switch on the door itself. - Inline-6 fires right up and settles to smooth idle with NO strange noises or smells. Automatic transmission engages easily with butter smooth shifts. Unfortunately, the widow doesn't know where her late husband kept service records on the car or know when work was performed, but, knows which shops her husband took the car for service. I did find a Camshaft / Timing Belt Replacement Performed sticker on the shock tower and the widow does recall the water pump has been replaced. Wheels do show age and could use refinishing. Older tires with good tread left. E28 Runs, Drives, Shifts, Brakes and Tracks as good as looks !!
